Edward R. Dupay Jr., DO has been board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery since 1991. He was the founding member of Orthopedic Associates of Southwest Florida. He joined Gardner Orthopedics in the fall of 2022.
Dr. Dupay earned his undergraduate degree at Xavier University, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed a graduate program in Nuclear Medicine Technology, in Dayton, Ohio before going on to medical school. Dr. Dupay was awarded his medical degree from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He did a rotating internship at Flint Osteopathic Hospital, in Flint Michigan. Dr. Dupay continued his medical education in a four year Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. He started his clinical practice in Fort Myers, Florida, in 1987.
Dr. Dupay is a dedicated caring physician. He is passionate about helping patients in their most stressful times of pain and suffering. He looks first at a conservative physiologic approach to alleviating their injury or musculoskeletal disease. He realizes the skills he has learned in orthopedic surgery can never be taken for granted, and only utilized with sound ethical judgement.
